What a way to start off a year, in the mountains surrounding Clarens in the Freestate. In total awe of God’s splendor in His creation, we were set to experience even greater work to be done in our lives. The Lord had it all planned from the rainy wet days, so we could work on getting to know one another and form relationships to sunny days in which we could bask in what the Lord has done. But don’t let me tell you, here are some of the many testimonies of those who attended the camp.

This weekend was very blessed! What really touched my heart was realizing once again that Jesus paid my debt, a debt He did not owe.
The lyrics of this song lie close to my heart : I’m forgiven because you were forsaken. I’m accepted ,you were condemned. I’m alive and well Your spirit is within me because You died and rose again – Anieca
I am so glad that I got to start 2017 with youthcamp! It is so easy for my heart to be consumed with worldly worries, even before my year has properly begun. I was reminded that Jesus must be my hearts desire, just like the woman in Luke 7 who washed His feet with her tears; and that is where I want to be found, at Jesus’ feet – Lorna
The Lord really touched my heart this weekend! He knows my heart and my life and He never leaves my side, even when I feel alone. It was really fun to see everyone again and be surrounded by friends who also love Jesus! I can’t wait for the next camp! – Bianca
At this youth camp i was reminded again that it doesn’t matter how far we stray from The Lord, or how many mistakes we make, He will never push us away. God is always willing to forgive us. He is waiting with outstretched arms, we just need to take that one step towards Him – Cailyn
With regards to the footprints we leave behind us in life.
At the camp,I found that I should rather focus on walking in the footsteps of the Lord and follow in His path because by following Him I don’t need to worry about what people will think about my past or my future nor do I have to worry about the mistakes that I will make because he has forgiven me. He has given me His salvation and as long as I love the Lord and I allow him to direct my path my old footprints won’t be seen as who I was but only the journey of how I became who I am today-His child – Gabby
Although the rainy weather may have dampened our day it certainly didn’t dampen God’s word. The beauty of Clarens was a reminder of the great and awesome God we serve. It was a wonderful time for us to tune into God and to tune the world out. I’m so grateful for the Lord’s plan for my life – Keren
Senior Youth Camp 2017 wasn’t just beautiful because of the scenery but because of what the Lord Jesus did in our hearts especially my heart. I opened myself up and never before had such a touch from the Lord as he touched me this Camp – Trevor
