Mark 10: 16 ‘Verily I say unto you. Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.’
God wants us as grown ups to think as children when it comes to the things of God. We need to put all our complications aside and receive the things of God in simple faith.
Our ideas complicate our relationship with Jesus.
What is some of the complications?
Security, money and a search for the perfect place.
We are looking for security in this life, we are searching for the perfect place where there is no worries or stress in this life. Friends, that place does not exsist. Jesus wants us to get rid of that attitude. We need to come to Jesus and say: “Jesus, You are enough. You are my perfect place.”
We have to make a decision. We need to ask Jesus to keep us simple as a child.
When do I become that little child?
– First of all, you need to be born again. If you are not sure, you need to make sure today that you have been truly born again.
– Then, when you are born again, tell a lot of people. If the burning to tell people about the new life ever goes away, you are in religion again.
In Romans 2:4 we read that God is rich in goodness and forbearance and longsuffering and the goodness of God leads us to repentance. We get to repentance because God realy wants us to be born again.
Friends, don’t be fooled by this world. Don’t put your affections in this world. Don’t build a kingdom down here, because it is going to faill. Come as a little child and be born again.
